Terms of Service

Last updated 3 September 2026.

Ricey Peas is a small, early-stage project, currently free to use while we work out how to make it sustainable long-term. These terms are here to be fair and clear rather than exhaustive.

Your account

You're responsible for the recipes, kitchens and other content you add, and for keeping your login details to yourself. You need to be old enough in your country to agree to these terms to create an account.

Your content

Recipes, photos and everything else you add stay yours. We store and display it back to you, and to anyone you've shared a kitchen with, so the app can work - we don't claim ownership of it, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the app.

Acceptable use

Use the app for what it's for: sharing and organising recipes with the people you cook with. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, don't try to break or abuse the service, and don't use it to harass or harm anyone else.

Availability

This is an early-access product, run by one person, on infrastructure sized for that. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise the same uptime or guarantees a larger company could. The app is still actively evolving, and how data is stored under the hood may change as it does - we'll do our best to carry existing recipes and kitchens forward, but for now we'd avoid trusting this as the only copy of anything you really can't afford to lose.

Changes to the app or these terms

The app is free today and we'd like to keep it that way for as long as it's sustainable to. If that ever needs to change - a paid tier, for example - we'll update these terms and let you know rather than changing things quietly. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We can also suspend or remove accounts that misuse the service.
