Ricey Peas is a small, early-stage project. This policy describes what we actually do today, in plain terms, and we'll update it if that ever changes.

What we collect

To create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Everything else you add - kitchens, recipes, ingredients, shopping lists, calendar entries, chatter posts - is content you've chosen to put into the app, stored so we can show it back to you and the people you've shared a kitchen with.

Recipe photos

Photos you upload to a recipe are stored with Cloudflare R2, a third-party storage provider. They're resized on upload and kept only for as long as the recipe (or the photo) exists.

Email

We send email - kitchen invitations and notifications - through Postmark, a third-party email provider. We don't send marketing email, and we don't sell or share your email address with anyone else.

Who can see your data

Recipes, lists and calendar entries are scoped to the kitchen they belong to. A kitchen can be private, shared with people you've invited, or public. Only public kitchens are visible to people who aren't members. Making a kitchen public only exposes its recipes - shopping lists and calendar entries stay members-only regardless.

Advertising and tracking

We don't run ads, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site. We don't use your recipes, or anything else you've added, to serve you adverts.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from your Profile page at any time, which removes your account and the recipes and kitchens you own.

Changes

This is an early-access product and this policy may change as the app grows. We'll keep this page up to date rather than making changes quietly.
